The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1976 i.e.,one year after the establishment of the college with with Maths, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in English medium with 4 students and one Lecture.
Later Electronics, Statistics and Computer Science were formed as sub groups. Now it has raised up to 415 students with 4 faculty members. The department attained remarkable
results from the students unlike all other private colleges in Khammam district.

It has been playing a very predominant role in the general administrative functioning of the college.
The department sincerely believes in the maxim” One for All, All for one” and follows it to the letter.
Despite attending to the needs of the faculty, the departmental staffs have been instrumental in extending all-out help in all matters.
As part of that, many a teacher in and outside the college benefited immensely in their research programmes by way of seeking assistance related to language and philosophical inputs.
Since the faculty members being devotedly involved in the societal activities, the process of intellectualization has become possible.
As a result of this, the college has, in turn benefited creating the conducive atmosphere for the free exchange of socio political ideas among the teaching staff of the college.
Apart from maintaining standards of academic excellence, the department has been striving for the all round development of the students by way of launching innovative programmes.
