The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1987 with B.Sc(Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science) combination with 30 students. In span of 33 years it has expanded with 5 combinations with strength of 450 students and 6 staff members. The department has the credit of 3 staff members persuing doctorate degrees while in service. The present faculty has been striving to keep its own identity and reputation. Later a PG course M.Sc (Computer Science) was introduced in the year 2013 with 18 students.
Objectives:
To develop “Computer Skills”
To encourage students to explore Logical thinking ideas on their own.
To improve the problem solving skills among the students which is a creative activity.
To train our student’s knowledge oriented, skill oriented rather than marks obtained.
Shape the department into a centre for excellence.
Provide quality education.
Enthuse the students and thereby increase their confidence.
